What ages do you take?
Parent Toddler from 6 months (at Wakad and Baner), Playgroup from 2 years, then Nursery, Jr. KG and Sr. KG. Daycare runs alongside all of them, for children from 6 months to 12 years.
What are the timings?
All three centres, Wakad, Baner and Ravet, are open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturday. Morning batches start at 9:00 am: Playgroup until 12:00 noon, Nursery until 12:30 pm (12:00 noon at Baner), Junior KG until 1:00 pm, and Senior KG until 1:00 pm (12:30 pm at Baner). Wakad and Baner also run some afternoon batches, and daycare covers the full day. Batch timings are set per centre, so confirm yours when you book a visit.
Are you open on Saturday?
Yes. All three centres, Wakad, Baner and Ravet, are open 9am to 5pm on Saturday for daycare and the office, and closed on Sunday. Saturday daycare is by prior booking. On weekdays they are open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.
How does daycare work?
Hourly, weekly or monthly, from a minimum of 2 hours a day. It is not a holding room: there is a structured curriculum, an in-house kitchen, and coordinators who talk to you about how the day went. Children can move straight from their preschool session into daycare. Saturday daycare is by prior booking. Ratios are the same at all three centres: one caregiver to 2 infants, 1 to 4 from 19 months to 3 years, 1 to 6 for 3 to 5 years, and 1 to 15 for 5 to 12 years.
Do you take babies in daycare?
Yes. Daycare at Wakad, Baner and Ravet takes children from 6 months, and for the youngest babies the ratio is one caregiver to two children. Daycare is open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturday. Ask the centre what to send from home for your baby when you visit.
What about food?
Cooked on site in our own kitchen, with maximum emphasis on hygiene. Parents consistently describe it as home-quality. Tell us about allergies and preferences when you enrol.
What are the daycare meal times?
On the optional daycare meal plan, breakfast is at 10:15 am, lunch at 1:00 pm and snacks at 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm, all cooked in the centre’s own kitchen. If you skip the plan, ask the centre what to send from home.
Is the centre safe?
CCTV across the centre, full-time security, child-friendly infrastructure, and staff who are trained, verified and medically checked. Children get a half-yearly medical check-up and we have doctors on call.
Who can pick up my child?
Only an adult carrying your child’s Jigyaasa escort card, at all three centres. If someone new will collect your child, talk to the centre before that day.
Do you provide transport?
Yes, each centre runs a van. Ask the centre for routes.
How do I know what my child did today?
Daily updates and photos through our parent app, plus regular feedback from the class teacher and parent participation programmes through the year.
Which curriculum do you follow?
Our own Whole Child curriculum, aligned to the NEP 2020 Foundational Stage. It borrows from six approaches: Montessori, Waldorf Steiner, play-based learning, Reggio Emilia, Multiple Intelligences and the Japanese idea of manners before knowledge. Each month one theme runs across seven learning domains, and every family gets the month’s planner at the start of the month. Jigyaasa is an English-medium preschool, not a CBSE, ICSE or state-board school.
How do you help a new child settle in?
Classrooms are theme-based, which helps children settle into a new environment quickly, and Playgroup has no worksheets: children learn through sand, dough, role-play, movement and a theme they can touch. Talk to the team about your child when you visit.
What is the admission process?
Book a centre visit, come and see a morning in progress, meet the team, and fill in the admission form. Admissions for 2027-28 are open now at Wakad, Baner and Ravet. Ask about Jiggy Early-Bird at your visit. Mid-year places for 2026-27 depend on space in your child’s age group, and daycare admissions are open all year.
What are the fees?
Fees vary by centre, programme and the hours you need, so we would rather give you the exact figure for your child than a number that turns out not to apply. Call the centre or ask during your visit.
Which class can my child join in 2027-28?
Maharashtra counts the minimum age as on 30 June: 3+ for Nursery from 2027-28, 4+ for Junior KG from 2028-29, 5+ for Senior KG from 2029-30 and 6+ for Class 1 from 2030-31, under the Government Resolution dated 15 October 2026. Enter your child’s date of birth in the
admission age checker above to see the class for your year.
